  • 1 loaf French Bread day-old preferred
  • 2 cups Mixed Berries fresh strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries
  • 6 large Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk any type, including dairy-free
  • ½ cup Maple Syrup pure maple syrup preferred
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
For the Cream Cheese Mixture
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese full-fat preferred
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar adjust for sweetness
Optional Toppings
  • 1 cup Extra Berries for garnish
  • extra Warm Maple Syrup for drizzling
  • as desired cup Powdered Sugar for dusting

Method
 

Preparation Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. In a separate large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until well blended, about 2 minutes.
  3. Spray a baking dish with cooking spray, then layer half of the cubed French bread, half of the cream cheese mixture, and half of the mixed berries. Repeat the layers.
  4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layers, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), remove the cover, and bake for 45-50 minutes until puffed and golden.
  6. Let cool for 5-10 minutes, dust with powdered sugar, and serve with extra berries and maple syrup.
