Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Best Cheesy Garlic Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange peeled garlic cloves in a small baking dish, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle a pinch of salt over them. Cover and roast for about 20 minutes until golden and tender.
  2. Slice your chosen bread vertically in half. Place cut side up on a baking sheet and pre-bake for 5 minutes until lightly crispy.
  3. Combine mashed roasted garlic, melted butter, egg, milk, a pinch of salt, paprika, and parsley in a mixing bowl. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Remove pre-baked bread and generously dip each half into the garlic butter custard. Position back on baking sheet, cut side up.
  5. Bake the coated bread for 15-18 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top. Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes until bubbly and slightly charred.
  7. Let the bread cool for a minute, then slice and serve warm with your favorite dishes.
