Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal later.
- In a bowl, combine cocoa powder, sugar, flour, and salt. Pour in melted butter and add the eggs; mix until smooth.
- Spread half of the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until creamy. Add sugar, vanilla, and egg; mix until smooth.
- Dollop the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer and spread gently.
- Spoon the remaining brownie batter in small dollops over the cheesecake layer and swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft. Let cool completely.
- Use parchment to lift the brownies out of the pan, slice, and serve.
