  4. Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the batter, fold in flour until just combined.
  5. Mix sugar and cinnamon for the swirl in a separate bowl.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan, level it out.
  7. Sprinkle three-quarters of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter.
  8. Top with remaining batter, spreading it evenly.
  9. Create a swirl through the batter with a knife.
  10. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  11. Bake for 50-60 minutes until golden brown; check with a toothpick.
  12. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
