Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add penne pasta and cook for about 8-10 minutes until al dente. Before draining, reserve 1 cup of pasta water. Drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing for about 5 minutes until soft and translucent.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart. Cook for about 7-8 minutes until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Reduce heat to low and pour in heavy cream, stirring gently. Gradually add reserved pasta water until the sauce reaches desired thickness, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Toss the drained pasta into the skillet, mixing thoroughly for about 2 minutes, allowing the pasta to absorb the sauce flavors.
  6. Plate the pasta and top with extra Parmesan cheese. Serve hot and enjoy!
