Ingredients

Bruschetta Base
  • 1 loaf Baguette Provides structure and crunch; toast it right before serving for the best texture.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Brushed on the bread to enhance crispiness while toasting.
Creamy Layer
  • 1 cup Ricotta Cheese Adds creaminess and richness; can be whipped for a smoother spread.
  • 1 tablespoon Honey Optional; adds extra sweetness to the ricotta if desired.
Sweet Topping
  • 2 cups Strawberries Essential for freshness and sweetness; use ripe ones for maximum flavor.
Finishing Touches
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic Glaze Gives a sweet and tangy boost; homemade or store-bought versions work great.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil Garnishes the bruschetta; add just before serving to maintain its vibrant color.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather your ingredients and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the baguette into thin rounds, about half an inch thick. Arrange these slices in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet and brush each side generously with olive oil.
  3. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and toast the baguette slices for approximately 6–8 minutes.
  4. In a medium bowl, add the ricotta cheese and season it with a pinch of salt, ground pepper, and a drizzle of honey if desired.
  5. Wash the ripe strawberries thoroughly and then chop them into small, bite-sized pieces.
  6. Spread a generous spoonful of the creamy ricotta mixture on each toasted baguette slice.
  7. Top each ricotta-covered baguette slice with the chopped strawberries.
  8. Drizzle a beautiful stream of balsamic glaze over each bruschetta.
  9. Garnish with freshly sliced basil leaves and serve immediately.
