Step-by-Step Instructions for Frog Eye Salad
  1. Boil a large pot of water over high heat. Add 1 cup of acini di pepe pasta and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 package of vanilla pudding mix with 2 cups of milk. Whisk until blended and let sit for about 5 minutes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, gently fold together the cooled fruit cocktail, well-drained mandarin oranges, and crushed pineapple.
  4. Add the prepared pudding mixture and the entire container of Cool Whip to the fruit bowl. Gently fold until coated, then fold in the cooled acini di pepe pasta.
  5. Stir in 1 cup of mini marshmallows, mixing gently until evenly distributed.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  7. When ready to serve, gently stir the salad and garnish with maraschino cherries before serving.
