Preparation Steps
  1. Prepare Sweet Potatoes: Boil large pot of water, add sweet potatoes and cook for about 30 minutes until tender. Drain, peel, and mash until smooth.
  2. Mix Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes with sugars, milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and butter. Blend on medium speed until smooth.
  3. Prepare Crust: Place pre-made pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish. If homemade, prepare accordingly and chill.
  4. Assemble: Pour filling into crust, smoothing the top evenly.
  5. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake assembled pie for about 50 minutes until set.
  6. Cool: Let the pie cool on a wire rack for at least 1 hour before serving.
