Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cornstarch, and ground cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  2. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a large mixing bowl for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Cover the bowl and chill the dough for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and shape the cookies around pieces of chocolate.
  7. Chill shaped cookies for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake cookies for 13-15 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Coat warm cookies in cinnamon-sugar mixture and cool on wire rack.
