  • 1/2 cup Butter unsalted
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar light or dark
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar reduce for less sweetness
  • 2 large Eggs room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract preferably pure
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour measure accurately
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips semisweet or dark
  • Optional Nuts chopped walnuts or pecans

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your pie crust.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together 1/2 cup butter, 3/4 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add 2 room-temperature eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract to the mixture and beat until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt, then fold into the wet ingredients.
  5. Gently fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the filling into the pre-baked pie crust and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  8. Allow cooling for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.
