Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté the onions in a skillet with butter over medium heat until golden and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Combine sautéed onions with corn and flour in a mixing bowl.
  4. Separate egg yolks from egg whites. Add yolks to corn mixture with milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir until well combined.
  5. Whip egg whites until stiff peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Gently fold whipped egg whites into the corn mixture until no white streaks remain.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
