For the Shrimp
  • 1 pound Raw shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice fresh-squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste
For the Asparagus
  • 1 bunch Asparagus spears trimmed
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper freshly cracked
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes optional

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse and trim the asparagus, arrange on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper, toss to coat.
  2. Roast the asparagus in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until tender but crisp.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add minced garlic, sauté for 30 seconds, then add shrimp and cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Squeeze lemon juice over shrimp, stir and cook for an additional minute. Sprinkle red pepper flakes if using.
  5. Remove asparagus from oven, layer on plates, and spoon shrimp over top.
