- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse and trim the asparagus, arrange on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper, toss to coat.
- Roast the asparagus in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until tender but crisp.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add minced garlic, sauté for 30 seconds, then add shrimp and cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Squeeze lemon juice over shrimp, stir and cook for an additional minute. Sprinkle red pepper flakes if using.
- Remove asparagus from oven, layer on plates, and spoon shrimp over top.
