- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water with sugar, then sprinkle yeast on top. Allow it to foam for about 5-10 minutes.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a shaggy dough forms, then knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for about 1 hour.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and caramalize the onions slowly for about 20-25 minutes. Add spinach and nutritional yeast, then let cool.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle, spread the filling, roll tightly, and slice into pieces.
- Place rolls in a greased dish, cover, and allow to rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool for 10 minutes in the dish and serve warm.
