Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Fill a large pot with water, adding a generous amount of salt, and bring it to a rolling boil. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.
  3. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté until the garlic turns golden and fragrant.
  4. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water, drain, and add the spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil.
  5. If the pasta appears too dry, stir in reserved pasta water until desired consistency is achieved.
  6. Sprinkle with parsley and black pepper, toss to combine, and serve garnished with extra parsley.
