Prepare the Crust
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Crush the Oreo cookies and combine with melted butter. Press into the bottom of the springform pan and bake for 10 minutes.
Make the Red Velvet Cake Layer
- Prepare the red velvet cake mix according to package instructions and pour over the cooled Oreo crust. Bake for about 25 minutes.
Prepare the Cheesecake Layer
- Beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add sour cream and vanilla extract, then mix in the eggs one at a time. Pour over the cooled cake layer.
Bake and Cool
- Bake the assembled cheesecake at 325°F (163°C) for about 60 minutes. Turn off the oven and let cool inside for an additional hour.
Decorate
- Once cooled, whip the heavy cream and spread over the cheesecake. Add desired toppings.
